Now I know why it's so difficult to get a reservation! Best pasta we've had in NYC in a looooong time! We got a last minute notification from Resy that there was a table available after being on the wait list for 3 weeks. Immediately I confirmed. We arrived early but were seated pretty quickly. The place did not seem full as we saw tables available most of the evening. Food was amazing and service was impeccable. This place will have a star soon if not it deserves one for sure! They did not have the whipped ricotta which was a bit of a disappointment but all of our dishes were fantastic!

I don't crave Italian food often, but this might be a place I actually want to go back to. We managed to secure a res at a random time and I was excited to try the whipped ricotta toast. I would say that the hype is somewhat warranted. It's really good - creamy, cold, rich, and decadent to complement the warm crusty bread, and paired well with the umami mushrooms. Is it something I could make at home, probably? Would I? Probably not, which is why the hype is only somewhat warranted because though fairly simple and probably overpriced, it is good. The pastas were all very yummy! My favorite was the sheep's milk ricotta ravioli - it was light and lemony. The spinach tortellini was a bit too salty. The rigatoni was good but nothing special. Overall, I enjoyed misi. It also had a spacious modern vibe which was cute!

Tortellini, olive ice cream, ricotta bread are musts! Kind servers in a busy restaurant. Food here is really good I would highly recommend to come in a group of 4 to try everything !

I tried Misi last summer and the experience was memorable. It is my favorite casual fine dining restaurant in NYC. Pricing is reasonable (~$50-60 pp) given the thoughtful design of every dish. Pro tips: Resy opened at 10am 30 days in advance. Service for dining tables is way better according to my last experience. I could only secure bar table seats for three. The service was less attentive tbh. *Whipped Ricotta Crostini w. Marinated Ramps Sott'olio Gonna reorder their most famous whipped ricotta crostini in my every visit. Light and fluffy whipped ricotta is perfectly piped on the toasted crostini with crispy edges, bursting with buttery & olive oil aroma. I prefer having roasted mushrooms as the side, but the ramps are so refreshing with a slight citrusy kick. *Grilled Italian Broccoli Highly recommended by our server. The broccoli was grilled to crispy. It was mixed with garlic vinaigrette, sharp provolone, and breadcrumbs for more crunch. *Sheep's Milk Ricotta Filled Occhi Got this signature ricotta occhi again because it is too good. The sheep's milk ricotta is incredibly light and melted in my mouth. The occhi soaked up the lemon sauce without getting too citrusy or overpowering. *Spinach and Mascarpone Filled Tortelli Instantly my new favorite pasta from Misi. The spinach and mascarpone filling is light, creamy and buttery. It has the perfect ratio of filling and pasta. *Gelato (olive oil, pistachio, amaretti cookie) I usually prefer pistachio gelato but their olive oil gelato blew my mind completely. It has a decent balance of sweet and savory. Pistachio and amaretti cookie were good yet nothing special. Texture wise their gelato is more lightweighted and creamier than normal gelato, so you can still easily finish a glass after a big meal. They placed a small candle next to the gelato glass to celebrate my birthday. Appreciate it so much.

Nice atmosphere and good service. We had the trumpet mushroom and ricotta toast. Ricotta toast was excellent. Trumpet mushrooms were good and well cooked but if I were chef, I might try some different accompaniments which I think they do. My husband had the spinach and mascarpone filled tortelli and I had bucatini. The tortelli was perfection. I love stuffed pasta and the pasta was thin, butter sauce delectable, filling sublime. The bucatini was good, alittle spicier than I anticipated ( waiter said he would give it a "5" on the heat scale, I would say a "6" or "7") but didn't knock my socks off. I also like my pasta on the saucier side which is very American of me I know - but I do. Overall, I wonderful meal and I would definitely come again.

Got a last minute resy for a chefs counter seat for my birthday. It was AMAZING! We got to see all the chefs prep and cook the food, it was so entertaining. Misi has a great cocktail and wine list. We ordered an egg white cocktail to start and then switched to red wine for the mains. Of course, you have to get the whipped ricotta toast. It is absolutely delicious, light, and airy. It came with a side of greens instead of mushrooms since that's what was in season. We then ordered three pasta dishes to share. The spinach tortelli was our absolute favorite. I wish there were more on the dish so I could eat it all night. The fettuccini with Buffalo butter and parmesan was tasty too, but a little cheesy for our likings. We also enjoyed the rigatoni which was cooked perfectly but nothing out of this world. You really do have to get the tortelli - they are to die for. The gelato for dessert is even better. We got the pistachio and hazelnut. YUM. Best gelato I've had for a while.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in NYC at the moment. I have not had a better dining experience yet. The vibe of the place is immaculate and the open kitchen makes you fall instantly in love. When I saw every single thing that we consumed was perfection, I truly mean that. And yes the whipped ricotta crostini 100% lives up to the hype. This is something you absolutely can not skip if you come here. The cocktail was perfect, the service was impeccable. This is a place you can not skip or miss.

Our friend was able to make a reservation for Misi at 4:30pm on a Saturday. We reserved counter seats, but we were seated in the front corner area, so unfortunately, we couldn't see any cooking action from the kitchen. We ordered 3 antipastas: charred escarole butter beans parmigiano ($19), grilled baby artichokes mint salsa verde ($19), and trumpet mushrooms sottolio whipped ricotta crostini ($19) Along with 4 pasta dishes to share: fettuccine buffalo butter parmigiano extra Vecchio black pepper ($25), chestnut garganelli toasted chestnut sage parmigiano ($25), spinach and mascarpone filled tortelli, brown butter, ricotta salata ($27), sheep's milk ricotta filled occhi bottarga lemon ($26). Out of all the appetizers, my favorite was the butter beans. This was actually the first time I tried artichoke because I heard that it is difficult to cook. There were some touch edges, but overall, the artichoke was soft to eat. The trumpet mushrooms sottolio whipped ricotta crostini was very light, so it somewhat tasted like cream cheese to me. The mushrooms that came on the side was flavorful. Of the pastas, I enjoyed the fettuccine the most. The chestnut was very interesting as well because it had a similar taste to this Chinese fermented black bean. Haha. For dessert, we ordered 3 gelatos ($8 each): amaretti cookie, pistachio, and olive oil. We were pleasantly surprised by the olive oil gelato. At first you taste a nice balance of sweet, savory, and creaminess, and then the olive oil taste sneaks in at the end. It's so different and lovely at the same time. The Pistachio had chunks of pistachio in it and it was recommended by our waiter. The amaretti cookie had chunks of cookie in it and most of our party really enjoyed the taste, but of the 3 the texture was the iciest. The service was great. However, due to the seating set up, it was a little uncomfortable to have to move out of the way for the servers to bring food, take away plates, refill waters, etc. When sitting at the counter, you feel very close to your neighbors.

W O W! I was blown away with each course at Misi! From the wine and cocktail selection all the way to the gelato! You must get the whipped ricotta crostini! It was incredible and I can't stop thinking about it. The bread and the whipped ricotta were both light yet flavorful. The spinach and mascarpone tortellini shocked me. It was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. For the quality of the food the prices are reasonable. I finished my dining experience with the mint gelato and yet again Misi showed up!! Such an amazing dessert. The restaurant atmosphere is really cool with the open kitchen and bar seating and our service was great! I will be recommending to everyone until I can come back again myself!!
